in-between

of standing on the thin line between

 love and hate

having no feelings, being

clean

of emotions, no memories

no spleen.

I'm not afraid of love,

unless

it loses its sheen.

I'm not afraid of hatred, unless

it loses its keen.

I'm afraid only of the

in-between scene.
