Before you start writing papers assigned to you for the semester break, we'd like to remind you of all you learnt during the Writing Workshop organised by Rachel Back, Danielle Schaub and Judith Yoel in December. Remember the renewed explanation of plagiarism with its stunning examples from academia and book publishing followed by a talk on e-mail etiquette. Remember the group discussions on documentation according to discipline. Remember the hands-on activities related to documentation, paraphrasing and summarising as well as the final explanation of the steps to follow for writing a seminar paper in linguistics. If you've forgotten a rule or misled the documents we gave you, visit the English Department site. You'll find all you need at http://www.oranim.ac.il/sites/heb/academic-units/social-sciences-faculty/hugim/english-literature-class/writing_workshop_2012/pages/default.aspx
We all hope academic integrity will become generalised practice!
